After the SCOTUS rulings yesterday and the utter failure of GOP majorities in both legislative chambers to mount any opposition to the march of progressivism, I am beginning to think we could do a lot worse than Trump.  I fear that The Donald is simply a Trojan horse for the Clintons, however, so I am keeping a wary eye on things.

In any event, I am about ready to fold up the tent and let the socialists have the country at this point.

The concept of individual freedom has been rendered meaningless in the modern era.  Who the POTUS is or will be is little different than rooting for a sports team.  Whoever wins a sporting event is guided by the rules of the game, and the rules are rigged in favor of those who are plugged into the establishment.  That is the plain and simple truth of the matter.

"The Donald" would become even more wealthy by exploiting this Country just as the Clinton's have done by exploiting other countries/people through their Foundation. I too believe that Trump is a Clintonian.  Similar to the Clintons' his extreme wealth and social standing throughout the world makes him untouchable.

I believe we are headed for socialism and the end of our two-party system. The attack on Christianity, individual freedoms and our Constitution are evident like never before; the demise of our country is becoming ever so apparent and happening quickly.  Imagine what things are going to look like by next November. IMHO, all this premature focusing on candidates has been nothing but a lot of smoke and mirrors. Are we even going to have another election?  If so, will it make any difference as it is almost certain that the POTUS will NOT be a conservative. Pandering to the minorities and special interest groups will collapse this country. When it does collapse, I believe people are going to realize very quickly that the freedom that they thought they had is gone and will be quickly missed. However, we have two choices when it collapses; we accept it and give up or fight like hell to restore our country, our rights and our Constitution.  As Dr. Ron Paul stated: "If FREEDOM is what we want, it is ours for the taking.  Let the REVOLUTION begin".

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Careful now. I posted similar thoughts and was hounded for weeks by posters here.

The reality is, the system this country was founded with allows for change. Millennials now outnumber boomers. Millennials, in general, have been thoroughly indoctrinated. The course is set, and we are too few to make a correction.

I accept it. I now am deeply interested as I watch the changes come about. The things we once thought impossible, such as doublespeak, chronic distraction and disinterest by the public, a public educated but unable to reason, all are the order of the day.

At the end of the day, I'll go home, walk the dog, have a cigar, and eat a nice dinner. I'll enjoy it while it lasts, and take some comfort in watching progressives learn what big government really means.

Western civilization are no longer guided by laws, but by "make it up as you go along" relativism.
