Non-Profit Media Matters Accidentally Admits It Works For Hillary – That’s Illegal.

Non-profit political organizations are specifically prohibited from campaigning or advocating for a political candidate.

This is important because there are a lot of 501(c)(3)’s out there that are liberal or conservative and get close to working with a candidate but manage to stay on the legal side of the fence.

David Brock’s Media Matters for America has long been a shill organization for Democrats, and Hillary Clinton. Everybody knows this, but they’ve denied it and so far have avoided getting shut down by the IRS.

But in an article this week, Brock inadvertently showed his hand – and it could mean the end of the organization.

Politico is reporting that violating the IRS code prohibiting non-profits from campaigning for a candidate can result in revocation of their tax-exempt status and “certain excuse taxes” … meaning fines.

In a column, Brock rails against the House Benghazi committee and how they’re now asking his organization questions. He’s complaining that they’re asking his long-time friend Sidney Blumenthal questions and writes this paragraph:

By refusing to release the transcript, the Republicans want to hide the true nature of the Blumenthal deposition: Their partisan attempt to both chill Blumenthal’s right to freely express his own political views and more broadly to intimidate our organizations – organizations that have led the way in exposing the fraudulence of the Benghazi investigation itself. (Not to mention our role in specifically defending Hillary Clinton from the Republicans’ unfair attacks on the subject).

Oops.

The cat’s out of the bag (well, it was already out of the bag, now the cat’s scratching at the dining room table, demanding to be put outside).

Media Matters didn’t return Politico’s request for comment. I’m sure they’re busy trying to get that damn cat back in the bag. I think it’s too late.
