HuffPo Writer: I Will not Have Children So I Will not Spread my White Privilege
Aurelius Pundit

Ali Michael, a writer for the Huffington Post, sometimes wishes she wasn't white. And she decided in her 20s that she would not "have biological children because I didn't want to propagate my privilege biologically."

In an article titled, "I Sometimes Don't Want to Be White Either," Ms. Michael details her feelings on being white and the Rachel Dolezal story.

Ms. Michael writes of Dolezal, "She is stuck in the immersion/emersion stage, in which White people, having learned extensively about the realities of racism, and the ugly history of White supremacy in the U.S., "immerse" themselves in trying to figure out how to be White in our society, and "emerge" with a new relationship to Whiteness."

She concludes, "her way of dealing with the pain of the reality of racism, was to deny her own Whiteness and to become Black."

Ms. Michael notes that Dolezal is not alone, however. In fact, she went through it herself and identifies with Dolezal.

"I definitely experienced this," she explains. "There was a time in my 20s when everything I learned about the history of racism made me hate myself, my Whiteness, my ancestors... and my descendants. I remember deciding that I couldn't have biological children because I didn't want to propagate my privilege biologically."

As a Conservative American and Constitution-loving Patriot, I was going to thank her for not procreating.

But then, seeing her dyke photo, realize that she's not doing anything she wasn't planning...to begin with.

Do people like this think the white race invented racism and is the only group in world history to have practiced it? From whence comes this mind boggling sense of guilt for what others may or may not have done?

Just an anecdote: In college I had a friend who was Chinese. One time he happened to mention his family was having some kind of family event. A black secretary overheard him and asked if he would be willing to invite and to escort her there. He reacted in horror and stated he couldn't bring someone like her to a family event.

She was, of course, po'd, but I will bet stories like that can be repeated millions of times for every racial and ethnic group throughout the world.

The fewer liberals the better off this country will be. There is no such thing as white privilege but there is more privilege given to the very rich people black, white or any other race. The funny part is I don't really give a damn about that maybe I should but if they earned their money or even inherited it maybe extra privilege is due them unless they commit a felony then they deserve punishment just like the rest of us.

Ali, let me congratulate you on making a wise decision. Yours is a very good idea.

Fewer liberally-indoctrinated children in this world is ALWAYS a "very good idea"!

I used to work with Vietnamese and Cambodians in the late '70s.  Couldn't tell them apart but they sure could.  Offended this little Cambodian man when I asked him if he was Vietnanese.

Course, then you have the animosity between the Vietnamese and the Chinese, between the Koreans and the Japanese, between the Hutus and the Tutsis, between the Irish and the English, etc, etc, etc.

Any white person who accepts the 'racist' tag is simply a fool...

She looks like she's spread her white privilege often, and indiscriminately.

My church brought a family from Taiwan in the late 50s/early 60s. Two older sons and younger daughter.

The girl went into my school grade and was a popular bright young lady.

Later she married, but recently I learned she had died and had suffered mental illness in her later years.

Somebody who knew her well learned she revealed that while she smiled on the outside, she wasn't so well adjusted in high school. In particular apparently she resented that us Americans knew little of the discrimination and mistreatment of Chinese in earlier California. And that we knew little of their history, their conflict with communist China, etc.

She was correct, we did not.

One of her brothers wound up on the Board of Apple, and a very senior officer with McDonnell Douglas. In other words he very successfully adapted himself to his American life.

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
These liberals, they're just desperately grasping to any manufacture construct of a narrative like crazed cultists. White privilege is an invention to subjugate the American people in the majority group, whites, in order to seize power and rule with an iron fist. It's all just a smokescreen and con job to the ulterior agenda.

This is just their new pathway to oppression, butchery, tyranny, and subjugation.
The Republic is lost.
