Time’s Up: Eight Year “Deadline” To Stop Global Warming Just Passed. It’s All Over

Back in 2007 the world was given a dire warning by the United Nations: Reduce greenhouse gas emissions or it will be too late.

We were given a timeline. If not followed, man-made global warming would render the earth uninhabitable, a virtual cinder, destroying all life on earth – or something.

The timeline: Eight years. Scientists told us we had exactly eight years to change our ways or all is lost.

Well, that deadline just passed, so pack your bags.

The report said global emissions must peak by 2015 for the world to have any chance of limiting the expected temperature rise to 3,6 degrees Fahrenheit, which would still leave billions of people short of water by 2050.

Well, we did no such thing. So that’s it, folks.

Scientists aren’t in the business of bullshitting you or scaring you, so you know they’re telling the truth, right?

Time to go buy some sunscreen, flip flops and wait for the word to end.

But wait! There’s hope! … It turns out we can still save the planet! We don’t have much time! Maybe just a few years. We must limit greenhouse gas emissions or it will be too late.

Expect scientists to give us a new timeline soon. No foolin’ this time. They’re serious! We gotta listen to them. If we don’t do something now, do you have any idea what will happen?

I do: in seven years, they’ll issue another warning!

And they’ll be really serious that time.
