(CNSNews.com) - Same-sex marriage is about "equal rights," attorney David Boies said on Sunday. But polygamy is different, he explained:

"What you have in a polygamy case is a situation where you're going to have multiple partners, and there is all sorts of evidence that that has harmful effects on some of the people participating and on the children."

Boies and fellow attorney Ted Olson successfully argued against California's same-sex marriage ban before the U.S. Supreme Court in 2008. On Sunday, they both appeared on NBC's "Meet the Press" with Chuck Todd to discuss the landmark marriage case that comes before the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

The rules are whatever we say the rules are.
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

"Sometimes I think the Church would be better off if we would call a moratorium on activity for about six weeks and just wait on God to see what He is waiting to do for us. That's what they did before Pentecost."   - A. W. Tozer

Use the time God is giving us to seek His will and feel His presence.

Heh.

Now, I could also turn the homosexual agenda's talking points on him here:

Polygamy is practiced among mammals all the time. It's natural, so it must be normal.

Polygamy is attested among humans for millennia. Even Biblical patriarchs practiced polygamy and took maidservants as their own wives.

Many humans are simply not meant to be monogamous and settle with just one partner. Half of all marriages have some sort of adultery going on. The only reason this causes mental strife is because society stigmatizes it with bigoted terms like "adultery." The way to end this stigma is to normalize it, and that starts by allowing the courts to recognize the right of more than two partners to marry into one union. Why, if a man loves more than one woman (or man, for that matter), should he be bound arbitrarily by the two-person limit to a marriage?
