Islamic Circle of North America Touted ISIS Pressure Cooker Bomber as Success Story

That would be Noelle Velentzas [1] aka Najma Samaa, not the Boston Marathon bombers, in case you’re getting your Muslim pressure cooker terrorists mixed up.
In the complaint, the government said the plot advanced to the point that Ms. Siddiqui bought four propane gas tanks and stored them in a stairwell outside her apartment. Earlier, the women had bought potassium gluconate at a Queens pharmacy, bought the fertilizer Miracle-Gro (which can be used as a bomb component) and read about and discussed bomb-making.
Velentzas allegedly praised the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks and told the undercover officer that being a martyr through a suicide attack guarantees entrance into heaven. According to the complaint, Velentzas showed the officer her phone, which included a background picture of bin Laden holding an AK-47, and called the infamous terrorist and his mentor, Abdullah Azzam, her heroes, the complaint says.
Also she seemed to be interested in making a pressure cooker bomb and was all about the ISIS. But before that she was ICNA’s success story [2].
As CBS2’s Tony Aiello reported, [Noelle] Velentzas spoke some time ago on behalf of the Islamic Circle of North America Relief Agency, talking about becoming a Muslim when she was 17 years old.
She was touted as a success story after she moved from the organization’s Jamaica, Queens homeless shelter, where she had lived for a year.
Less than two weeks ago, Velentzas was reportedly asked whether she had heard the news about the recent arrest of Pugh and replied that she did not understand why people were traveling overseas to wage jihad when there were more opportunities of ‘pleasing Allah’ in the United States.”
ICNA has all the usual [3] terrorist ties you expect and all the usual testimonials to its moderate nature. But what is so often forgotten in the ‘radicalization’ narrative is that the so-called radicals invariably passed through so-called “moderate” Muslim institutions. That’s part of the process. Think of it as a gateway drug. At the end of the moderate tunnel lies ISIS.
But I’m not sure that ICNA could really call Najma/Noelle a success story. She never did manage to kill any Americans.
