Book: Clintons Called the Secret Service ‘Pigs’

Bill and Hillary Clinton (as well as Chelsea) referred to Secret Service agents as “pigs” during their time in the White House, according to a new book based on hundreds of interviews with current and former White House staff members.

“Pigs” is a derogatory slang word typically used to describe law enforcement officers.

In a conversation with the book’s author, Kate Andersen Brower, former White House florist Ronn Payne recalled an incident involving a Secret Service agent arriving at the White House to escort Chelsea Clinton to Sidwell Friends, a fancy private school in Washington, D.C.

Chelsea was on the phone with friend when the agent walked in. “Oh, I’ve got to go,” she said. “The pigs are here.”

The agent didn’t appreciate that, Payne recalled, and tried to explain to Chelsea that he was just doing his job, which was “to stand between you, your family, and a bullet.”

Chelsea replied: “Well, that’s what my mother and father call you.”

It is not known whether the Clintons, who continue to enjoy Secret Service protection, still refer to these agents as “pigs.”

From all those "hundreds of interviews," the best they can come up with is from a teenage child?
