Colorado Chapter President Says NAACP Discriminates Against White People

Remember when the Colorado NAACP Chapter was the victim of a racist terrorist attack that turned out to be a firecracker-sized explosion on an adjacent business set off by a man trying to get revenge on a tax prepper? Well, it seems the real threat to the Colorado Springs chapter is homegrown terrorism, though racism is still a part of it. Just not the kind of racism the NAACP usually complains about; this time it’s racism against white Republicans. No, this is not an April Fools joke.

KTTV reports that Colorado Springs NAACP chapter president Henry Allen Jr. is worried that he may have to close down due to the actions of a former secretary. This secretary, who resigned over the weekend, refuses to hand over the charter roster, which is a problem because he needs that in order to file a financial report with the national organization. Without the reports, which were due March 1, the Colorado Springs chapter is now out of compliance and may have to close up shop.

Now here’s where things get screwy:

Allen also believes that the secretary was using racial and political bias when choosing who to send election and membership renewal information to, excluding some members. In one letter of concern to national leaders, Allen specifically mentioned white Republicans among those being excluded.

Who knew the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People listed white Republicans as their members? In any case, these are some serious allegations if a secretary deliberately excluded certain members because of their race. While that seems bad, it may be much worse as Allen indicates that the racial hatred goes all the way to the top:

He says his attempts to bring the problem to national leaders’ attention with no response goes to show that they were working with the secretary in the fraud.

It’s one thing for a local secretary to harbor bias against white people, but another for the secretary to act on discrimination with the blessing of, or under the orders from, the national organization. Just because they say they fight for civil rights doesn’t make the NAACP immune from anti-discrimination protections that all people have.

Bear in mind that these allegations don’t come from some racist NAACP-hating group, but rather a chapter president of the organization. There’s no need to take this with a grain of salt. In all likelihood the NAACP has engaged in discrimination of people based on their skin color and beliefs.

If this were a conservative group accused of discriminating against minorities, this would be a national outrage with a Justice Department investigation soon to follow. Instead, it’s a little completely ignored local story. And watch; if the Colorado Springs chapter does have to shut down, the lefties will use it as proof that racism against blacks is a huge problem in this country.
