Jonathan Capehart on "Hands up, don't shoot!"
« on: April 01, 2015, 09:26:25 pm »
A little more than two weeks ago, MSNBC's Jonathan Capehart--an avowed liberal, but essentially honest--admitted that he had been duped by the "Hands up, don't shoot!" narrative surrounding the events in Ferguson, Missouri last August.  And he apologized for his naïve acceptance of that narrative.

So what has his reward been for this honesty?

Has he been praised by the left for this honest reading of the facts?

Has the left generally said, "We believe that the Ferguson Police Department--like so many other police departments around the country--is largely bigoted; but we now know that the "Hands up, don't shoot!" narrative was a lie from the beginning"?

Well. no.  Not exactly.

What many on the left have done, instead, is to indict Mr. Capehart as a (supposed) "race traitor" and "house negro."

It is quite enough to make one want to throw up.

But, hey.   The left often believes in pushing some Larger Truth; and if that means lying about a specific incident, well, then it has no problem with that.  No problem at all.

The end, after all, justifies the means...

Amazing, isn't it?  Actually jaw-dropping to hear liberals, blacks and LIVs dismiss the facts in Ferguson and then double down on their claim that Ferguson proves cops routinely shoot down unarmed blacks in America. Huh?
