Do you work in the media and have the gall to think that the entire Webster’s dictionary is at your disposal? Think again, you sexist.

When it comes to reporting on Hillary Clinton, George Carlin’s “Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television” have turned into “Twelve Words You Can Never Say About a Powerful Politician.”

“We will be watching, reading, listening and protesting coded sexism,” the pro-Hillary group HRC Super Volunteers warned The New York Times’ Amy Chozick Wednesday.

HRC Super Volunteers have been laying in wait for Clinton to announce her candidacy, with one organizer of the independent group boasting to colleagues that “our supervols tended to be more loyal to HRC than hired staff who worried about getting a job after the campaign. I think back to the staff party in Denver when me, Ahmed, and another top vol were the only ones with Hillary buttons.”

Here are the words that you can’t use to describe Clinton:

polarizing

Yup. Nothing polarizing about this.


calculating

I usually pair this with the term “cold.” As in, “Cold War.” Or, “cold, loveless marriage.”


disingenuous

Like when chicks say “I’m not looking for anything serious.” Or, you know, “I’m on the pill.”

Or when, you know, Bill pretended he was crying about the death of Ron Brown when actually he was laughing.

Amy Chozick, political reporter for the NY Times, received an email warning from a group called HRC Super Volunteers. "You are on notice that we will be watching, reading, listening and protesting coded sexism," said the message. To that end they gave Ms. Chozick a list of 13 word she cannot use to describe the former Secretary of State.
 

According to HRC Super Volunteers, the 13 sexist words are "polarizing," "calculating," "disingenuous," "insincere," "ambitious," "inevitable," "entitled," "over-confident," "secretive," "will do anything to win," "represents the past," "out of touch," and "tone deaf."

As pointed out on The Washington Post's blog The Fix:


"Polarizing," for example, is a word that now describes pretty much every well-known politician in the country, up to and including Barack Obama and George W. Bush. The politician who isn't polarizing is the exception rather than the rule. And it usually means that the politician just isn't well known enough to be polarizing. Yet.

(...) As for "ambitious," nobody runs for president without having an extraordinary amount of ambition. Not Ted Cruz, not Barack Obama, not Mitt Romney or Jeb Bush, and definitely not Bill Clinton -- all of whom have had their unusual amount of ambition chewed over by the media.

Note: There is no indication that the "tone deaf" and "polarizing" email sent to Ms. Chozick by the seemingly "out of touch" group HRC Super Volunteers has anything to do with the "inevitable" Hillary Clinton campaign for President. By the tone of their email it can be determined that this "secretive" group "will do anything to make Ms Clinton win," including this "disingenuous" attempt to intimidate the press.

Chris Matthews, WaPo Columnist BLAST Hillary ‘Sexist’ Code Words [VIDEO]

Chris Matthews discussed the perceived “sexist” code words Hillary Clinton supports are spreading on “Hardball” Monday night.

Matthews and Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus disregarded any notion of the 13 words exhibiting any idea of sexism.

“This is a wildfire potentially,” Matthews started off. “I want you to jump on these. I want to take each one at a time.”

Matthews and Marcus started going through each of the 13 words, ranging from “polarizing” to “inevitable,” and even “represents the past.” (RELATED: Here Are The Words Hillary’s Supporters Won’t Let You Say)

While Marcus would concede that most of the words are indeed true about Clinton, none of them were “gender related” in any way, shape or form.

 
“I’d like to say two things,” Marcus told Matthews. “I think it’s really important for us to be conscious of language and conscious of sexism and I just bristle — and I don’t think that’s a sexist term either. I just bristle when people outside try to give me lists of approved language.”

“I would like to write a column using every darn one of those 13 words,” Marcus added.

Marcus did, however, note there are terms that could be used against the former first lady that could come off as sexist, including “hysterical” and anything involving her clothing.
