Lt. Col. Ralph Peters tonight slammed President Barack Obama for implying that George W. Bush is to blame for ISIS.
Obama told VICE News that ISIS “is a direct outgrowth of al Qaeda in Iraq that grew out of our invasion, which is an example of unintended consequences, which is why we should generally aim before we shoot.”
“If President Obama developed athlete’s foot, he would blame George W. Bush,” Peters quipped.
Peters said that the Bush administration made mistakes, but it learned from them. Meanwhile, he said Obama has created the vacuum into which terrorism has moved.
“A fundamental problem […] is that President Obama is just not manly,” Peters said, explaining that manliness is the ability to admit when you’re wrong, which is something he said that Obama never does.
“President Obama, who never really had a job in his life, has no contact with gritty, hard reality,” Peters said. “He has been shaped by left-wing ideologues quite literally from the cradle up.”
