Fox News Channel has hired Rob O'Neill, the former Navy SEAL who is said to have been the man who shot and killed Osama bin Laden, and who was featured in a two-part special series on the channel last year, "The Man Who Killed Usama Bin Laden."

O'Neill will be a contributor for Fox News, and "will offer military expertise and analysis across various daytime and primetime programs," the channel said in a statement.

O'Neill was featured in the special last November, interviewed by correspondent Peter Doocy. Doocy told Capital at the time that O'Neill had been reluctant to come forward for more than a year, but eventually agreed to be interviewed.
