Trey Gowdy Warns Obama Administration to Respect Rule of Law

South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy sounded a clear warning to the Obama administration not to ignore the rule of law as he says has been done with President Barack Obama's executive actions on immigration.
"Be careful what you do with the law today, because if you weaken it today, you weaken it forever," Gowdy told the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, Fox News reports.
"You may benefit from the president's failure to enforce the law today," the South Carolina Republican said.
"But I'll make you this promise: There will come a day where you will cry out for the enforcement of the law. There will come a day when you long for law to be the foundation of this republic," he added.
Republicans lawmakers are working on a Department of Homeland Security bill that will fund the department without funding for Obama's executive actions on immigration.
Gowdy told Greta Van Susteren on Fox News Wednesday that the reason for his strong comments was because he doesn't "like it when either side plays games with the rule of law, because it is the most unifying, equalizing force we have in our culture," and that's why he's so concerned.
