Ukip's Nigel Farage fails to make a mark at CPAC 2015

 Ukip party leader Nigel Farage attended the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington last night to meet conservative activists and potential Republican presidential candidates.

Campaigning on a platform of quitting the European Union and slashing immigration, Farage's Ukip has been likened to the Tea Party movement that shook up the Republican Party.

However many of those at the annual conservative conference had little idea of who he was and by the time he took the stage at CPAC most of the delegates had already departed.

Ukip which won European elections in Britain last year and now poses a countrywide problem for Prime Minister David Cameron's Conservative party ahead of a British election in May that is expected to be one of the closest in recent history.
