Reporters Laugh As White House Tries To Explain Why Keystone Pipeline Review Took 2,300 Days

By Brian Carey, February 24, 2015.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest unintentionally gave reporters a laugh today.

One intrepid reporter asked Earnest what every reporter should be asking Earnest: Why is it taking the State Department so long to complete its review of the Keystone XL Pipeline?

To be specific, it’s taken about 2,300 days.

“Well, I think it’s certainly fair to suggest the that State Department is conducting an in-depth review,” Earnest said.

The crowd laughed at that one. We could even tell by the look on Earnest’s face that he knew that it was a ridiculously long time to complete the review, even by Washington standards.

He went on to note that the State Department was hampered by an ongoing court case.

Yeah. Not buying it.

Have a look at the video below.
