And anti-woman, too!

A report issued by Politico Friday stated that Democratic National Chairman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) had plans in 2013 to accuse President Obama of being anti-Semitic and anti-woman when she felt her position as chairwoman was coming into question.

Associates of Wasserman Schultz revealed that she had lined up supporters to back her claims against Obama after she sensed the president might replace her. The report goes on to say that when she wasn't replaced, she took that as a sign of "renewed strength" from Obama. Yet Politico suggested that the chairwoman may have gained too much self-assurance from the episode in that it made her "confident no one could get her out of the DNC" before her term ends in 2017. "She’s also been known to joke around the office about how having a vacation home in New Hampshire might one day be helpful in a presidential run," states the report.

Wasserman Schultz has been accused from top Democrats, staffers, both current and former, and even friends that believe she uses her position for selfish ambition and promotion. Many of them apparently feel she is "self-centered -- even for a politician," as is stated in the report.

Breitbart covered this Politico story and added that she has even used DNC funds to buy herself outfits on at least three occasions. And according to that report, "She doggedly would not let the issue go, reportedly asking top Obama administration officials to give the DNC the green light to purchase her fancy clothing."

Politico revealed that White House staffers say that Wasserman Schultz has had very little face time with Obama since she began her position in 2011. And introducing the president at Friday's DNC winter meeting, the relationship doesn't appear to be thawed:

'I look forward to continuing to serve as a member of Congress under his leadership and continuing our effort as a national party to lead the way so we elect his successor,' Wasserman Schultz said. [introducing the president]

Obama took the stage, greeted her with a kiss on the cheek and then moved on to the next DNC officer on the dais. He thanked her in passing at the top of his remarks, and didn’t mention her again. ? [sic]

The congresswoman has not made a formal announcement for a Senate bid, but if it were to become official, some Democrats would not share much enthusiasm. Democratic Senate Campaign Committee spokesman Justin Barasky had this to say about Wasserman Schultz as a Senate candidate:

It seems like there’s no one in the United States Senate who wants to be a senator less than Marco Rubio, and there are numerous potential candidates who could beat him.

Another thing standing in Wasserman Schultz's way of a clean campaign is the revelation this week that she bribed Florida donor John Morgan through e-mail offering a change in her stance regarding medical marijuana if Morgan would retract his criticisms of her, a charge she denies.

Sources close to the congresswoman at the DNC winter meeting assured that although Wasserman Schultz is considering a Senate run, "she's still completely committed to being chair."
