McCain calls for sending 10 thousand US troops to Iraq

Washington / NINA/ Senior Republican Senator John McCain said on Thursday that the United States will send about 10 thousand US troops to Iraq to fight against the IS organization.
He said in a statement on the / MSNBC / TV channel today "that we must send troops to fight the IS, and we must do a lot of things that we do not do now, we're going to stop this tide and horrific murder that occurs."
He stressed that the mission of US forces in Iraq must include the help of Iraqi forces in identifying targets for air strikes in addition to the training of these forces.
About the war in Syria, McCain said, "The United States should send US troops not only to fight the IS, but to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assadregime."
He called for the formation of an Arab-American joint force to fight against the ISIS and the Syrian regime in Syria, indicating that the size of the force is not necessarily to be large. / End
