DNC Chooses City w/Highest Percent of Poor in America for Convention

Good choice.

If there’s one city that represents everything that the Democratic Party has done to America, it’s Philadelphia.

Philly has a 27 percent poverty rate and something like a 50 percent illiteracy rate. It’s the major city in the country with the highest percentage of poor people and the lowest number of college graduates.

It’s also a stronghold of the Democratic Party.


The city has only 211,000 unskilled jobs, a number that continues to shrink, keeping many Philadelphians mired in poverty, as well as their children, a miserable inheritance.

And it had a higher murder rate than Chicago.

Philly is the perfect showcase for what the Democratic Party can do to America. Every mayor since 1952 has been a Democrat.
