1929: In one of the largest land transfer deals in America, the Northside Mob [ George 'Bugs' Moran, CEO] transfers the north side of Chicago to the 'Outfit' [Alphonse Capone, Pres. and CEO], in consideration of Moran being allowed to leave Chicago alive, a fate not shared by five of his associates, a hanger-on, and an employee/mechanic. Involved in the transaction were the Purple Gang of Detroit, and several contractors from Egan's Rats of St. Louis. Principal negotiator for Mr. Capone was Vincenzo DeMauro, DBA 'Machine Gun Jack McGurn.
