Josh Earnest: Sure Climate Change Hurts More People Than Terrorism

Is the headline really all that surprising coming from the administration who won’t or can’t even call the Taliban a terrorist group?

During Tuesday’s White House press briefing, Mr. Not Earnest was finding it impossible to explain to ABC News’ chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl why Obama believes climate change is a more severe threat than terrorism.

“I think the point that the president is making is that there are many more people on an annual basis who have to confront the impact, the direct impact on their lives, of climate change, or on the spread of a disease, than on terrorism,” Earnest said.

What a bunch of bull.

But Earnest was simply clarifying Obama’s ridiculous position on the issue.

In an interview over the weekend with the liberal media group Vox, President Obama said the media “absolutely” overstates the threat of terrorism in comparison to the threat of climate change.

“Do you think the media sometimes overstates the level of alarm people should have about terrorism and this kind of chaos, as opposed to a longer-term problem of climate change and epidemic disease?” Vox asked Obama.

And this stupidity, downplaying the growing evil around the world is a running theme for these boneheads.

Last week White House national security advisor Susan Rice claimed that the U.S. is not facing any “existential” threats, saying that if you believe the U.S. is facing a threat by ISIS, you’re doing so because of the media’s “alarmism.”

“Too often, what’s missing here in Washington is a sense of perspective,” she said Friday at Washington, D.C.’s Brookings Institution.

But the facts say otherwise.

On Obama’s watch we’ve seen Russian invade eastern Europe, the rise of ISIS, relentless cyber-attacks on American companies and government agencies, a war in Israel, and we’re watching North Africa fall into the psychopathic hands of the radical Islamists of Boko Haram.

But I guess the aforementioned terror threats aren’t nearly as alarming as warm weather.
