Obama: Failure to Add $8.5 Trillion in Debt Would be Short-Sighted

An $18 trillion national debt, most of it his work, is just too small for Obama. It would be too short-sighted not to kick it up by another $8.5 trillion.

Obama said Monday he will reject any budget from Congress that doesn’t boost spending on both defense and his own domestic priorities, saying the spending “sequesters” need to go.

“America can’t afford being short-sighted and I’m not going to allow it,” the president said while speaking at the Homeland Security Department as he released his $4 trillion budget for fiscal 2016.

His budget calls for boosting discretionary spending by more than 6 percent, and raising taxes to pay for it.

We wouldn’t want to be too short-sighted to go even deeper and deeper into a debt that we can’t possibly pay back.

Somehow Obama inverts the meaning of words. He calls taxing the middle class “middle class economics”. Not going into debt is short-sighted.

The American people are working harder than ever to get ahead, and this administration wants to put up yet another roadblock: $2.1 trillion in new taxes. And despite this massive tax hike, the President’s budget never balances, adding $8.5 trillion in more debt.

Of course most of those taxes are never going to happen. They’re empty class warfare rhetoric. So that means it’s a lot more debt.

Whatever else Obama has done, he has buried the country under a mountain of debt while giving away the money to his donors and supporters. Now he wants a $4 trillion budget because he knows his ability to give away more money is ending.
