Well, unless history skips a beat, Obama's doctrine of doing nothing about Wahhabi Islam has set a placeholder for an American Winston Churchill to emerge in 2016.

Someone who will take vigorous actions against the rise of Islamic militancy. Someone who can represent to America and to the rest of the world logical and consistent steps for the defense of Western values.

A strong leader that will respond to this threat with determined resistance and swift, consistent counteraction.

Not just a plan to check the Yahoo news feed on the back nine so that you can see what your next response to world events will be, Mr. Obama.

B-B-B-ut, the White House feels that "violent extremism" better captures the subtle nuances of 50 years of world-wide terrorist activity.

I'm sure the term is meant to include "hands up don't shoot" extremists and the infamous Franciscan monk uprising.
