Democratic Senator Fake Outraged: VA Inspector General Held Secret Drug Scandal Report From Congress

Posted By Patrick Howley On 8:03 PM 01/26/2015 In | 2 Comments

Wisconsin Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin expressed outrage Sunday at the VA Inspector General withholding a report on Wisconsin’s notorious “CandyLand” medical facility. (Inspector General Tells The Daily Caller: We Do Lots Of Reports We Don’t Tell Congress About)

“Since the OIG failed to release the report publicly, our office had to initiate a Freedom of Information Act request in order to obtain a copy,” Baldwin stated in her op-ed for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

“Not only were we very disturbed with the OIG’s findings, but we were also concerned that the report concluded there was no wrongdoing at the medical facility,” Baldwin said.

The VA medical center in Tomah, Wis., gives out so much morphine to people in the area that it’s known as “Candyland.”

But Baldwin’s hands are not clean in this whole affair. She fired a top staffer late last week after the aide told a Tomah VA whistleblower not to blow the whistle.

VA medical centers are no stranger to “Scarface”-style antics.

A nurse at New York’s Albany Stratton VA was stealing morphine from dying patients while the inner city drug trade in Oklahoma City is well aware of the Oklahoma City VA.

“The [Office of the Inspector General] does many types of reports. Some are administrative,” while “some are published reports,” an inspector general’s spokesperson told TheDC, noting that she planned to send TheDC a statement that would make it seem like she “went to college.”
