Palin: 'Screw the Hollywood left'
« on: January 25, 2015, 02:49:35 am »
I find this kind of childish rhetoric to be the words of a political celebrity, and not a serious politician.  If anybody is dumb enough to contribute to SarahPAC at this point, that's on them.  Very disappointing, because I thought she hit a home run in her 2008 RNC speech.  Now, she reminds me of a Howard Dean or a Donald Trump, in terms of how she comports herself at otherwise serious events.  The "conservative colors" thing is embarrassingly dumb, too.

Quote
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) lambasted Hollywood liberals in a rambling speech at the Iowa Freedom Summit on Saturday.

The party’s 2008 vice presidential nominee, who said this week she’s “ interested” in a presidential bid, took the stage with to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off,” feeding off the energy of the crowd as she jumped from conservative topic to topic.

Her speech was replete with memories of her own trips to Iowa, but she also focused on one recent controversy — defending criticism over the country’s top-grossing movie, “American Sniper.”

Palin detailed how she and her family were friends with Chris Kyle, the Navy SEAL whose story is told in the biopic about the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

“Screw the left in Hollywood who can’t understand what it is we see in someone like chris kyle and all of our vets,” Palin said, referencing comments from filmmaker Michael Moore and others who criticized the movie’s portrayal of war.

Palin said the Oscar-nominated movie from director Clint Eastwood was breaking records because “America needs a hero again” like Kyle, who’s credited with the most confirmed kills in U.S. history.

The Tea Party favorite also took shots at the Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton, saying the country was ready for different leaders. She slammed the left for pretending to offer change but instead readying for a “coronation — rinse, repeat, Clinton, rinse, repeat.”

Palin also slammed President Obama’s government overreach, saying his executive actions when Congress didn’t act were akin to being “like an overgrown little boy who’s acting kind of spoiled.”

She urged conservatives, when considering their GOP candidates, to remember their “bold, conservative colors, not pale establishment pastels.”

Trump has created a cult and looks more and more like Hitler every day.

He has a point, but I wouldn't include "conservative colors" as an example.   When she uses "flat balls" and "screw the .... " she's beginning to sound shrew.

Hope she doesn't hurt us next year.

Palin is playing to her fans.  They like being "outspoken", etc.  It doesn't make a difference that she sounds classless.  She is easy on the eyes and she hunts so sounding ladylike and professional does not matter.

This woman gets more "out there" with every passing day.  Does she still have  TV show?  One wonders how she's going to maintain her two houses and "aw shucks" lifestyle as she dwindles in everybody's rear-view mirror.

It's one of those circular mind %&^$ where you believe that everything you believe in is what the majority of everyone believes in, because everyone that you associate with believes what you believe in, but what you fail to realize is that everyone who associates with you does so because they agree with everything that you believe in, so since your world is narrowed down to everyone that believes in exactly what you believe in, you think that the world (or at least the majority of the world) believes in what you believe in.

Go easy on her, people!  Please?

It's no different than Hillary falling into the black dialect ("I don't feel no ways tired.....I've come too far.....").

This is a lady that guts and field dresses her kills in the field.

Of course she' is comfortable using the word, "Screw....."

Sarah.....tell me you didn't!    {{{{You little devil you}}}

Just heard that Sarah Palin said,

“The man can only ride you when your back is bent,” she said amid stammers. “So strengthen it! Then the man can’t ride you, America won’t get taken for a ride, because so much is at stake.”

That is harder to sustain, if you have a job, work with the public, talk to neighbors, have outside interests like exercise, etc.

Conversely if you draw ever inward, shelter yourself, you can conclude that all your contacts think as you do.

We once had a very prolific poster here that guaranteed McCain would lose his primary to Hayworth, since everybody she knew was voting for Hayworth.

What does this even mean?  Is it some sort of rape analogy?

Then maybe she can stay in the field at this point. She's far more useful there.

Luis, I'm sure you know that that kind of elite, always ignorant provincialism is nothing new.  Witness Pauline Kael, a monarch of the Left and liberal elitist in her own right, who so long wrote for the The New Yorker.  She, in essence, stated that she could not believe Nixon won in 1972 since everyone she knew voted for McGovern.  She lived with that until her dying day.

No, Luis.  I thought that

1) It's winter.  It's cold as hell in Alaska right now.
2) She's recently hunted with her husband
3) She's comfortable uttering the word "screw".
4) She was playing to her perceived audience but from her heart.

That's all.

SarahPac took in $2.7 million for the 2014 cycle.  It spent $200,000 on Administrative travel & lodging and gave $95,000 to candidates.

Governor Palin has a new PAC for this cycle

Quote
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Jan. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Supporters of Governor Sarah Palin announce the formation of The Political Earthquake PAC/Grassroots4Palin, a Super PAC which will independently advocate on behalf of Palin and the leadership and vision that she has for our nation.

"The Earthquake will harness the power of Americans nationwide to support Governor Palin," said Sandra Bailey. "America is struggling, and President Obama and Washington business-as-usual politicians are the problem. The Earthquake will support a leader who has inspired millions, who understands that government stands in the way of unleashing America's entrepreneurial spirit, and who believes America must remain the world's superpower."

Bailey added, "America needs Governor Palin's leadership as a commonsense Constitutional Conservative not to continue to fundamentally change America, but to restore America. The American people are ready for a leader with integrity, who has been thoroughly vetted and has proven she will work to rid our government of the cronyism that gets in the way of doing the people's work. America needs Governor Palin's leadership."

The Earthquake is a grassroots-powered organization administered by Sandra Bailey.

The Political Earthquake PAC is on a mission to shake the establishment to its core and offer to America, a candidate who not only is qualified and fully vetted, but also one who loves this Country, its military and citizens, and one who has the heart of a true public servant-leader.
