On Saturday, two commercial flights had to be escorted by F-16 fighter jets after a bomb threat.
What could have been a massive crisis started on social media. A Twitter account belonging to King Zortic sent a tweet to Delta Airlines. Here’s some screenshots of what Zortic said:
Then, Zortic made another threat.
Once NORAD received word of the tweets, they sent to F-16s to escort the aircraft in potential danger.

According to Yahoo News:
The threats were made on the social media network Twitter, said Preston Schlachter, a spokesman for the North American Aerospace Defense Command. After being alerted, military officials sent two F-16 fighter jets from a base in South Carolina to escort the commercial aircraft to Atlanta.
Fortunately, the airliners made it safely to airport, while the authorities conducted a sweep.

Good news arrived as the FBI didn’t find any explosives on either airliner. In addition, nobody was hurt.
As for Zortic, he challenged the FBI, NSA and CIA to come get him.
A couple hours after that, this was Zortic’s last tweet.

This is the second bomb threat in a week to cause a plane to have to make an emergency landing. That too was a Delta flight.
