Clueless NJ Senator Says it is the Criminal Justice System’s Fault Blacks are in Jail

Posted by: Nicole Sanders on January 19, 2015

United States Senator, Cory Booker (NJ-D) sent out an email blast Monday night blaming the criminal justice system for prosecuting black America’s. According to Booker they are the reason so many black’s are in jail today. He even went so far as to compare the incarcerated criminals to slaves.

This over-incarceration of our population in general and minorities in particular has created the tragic reality that there are now more black Americans under criminal supervision today than there were slaves in 1850. The criminal justice system is an affront to our American ideals of liberty and basic fairness. – Cory Booker

Leave it to a liberal to turn Martin Luther King day into a racial subject to rally those who are protesting what in their mind is racial inequality and doing exactly what King would not want them to do: being violent and looting. Martin Luther King, Jr. did say:

Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.

Over the years King’s words have been distorted to mean shooting police and looting stores is the only way to make your point known. Unfortunately a lot of Democrats only put fuel on the fire by supporting radical protestors. Personally I think they are just bitter because Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. Remember, back in the 1960’s Dr. King fought the Democrats who wanted to prevent the passage of civil rights laws and stood in the school house doors to block African American children and sprayed peaceful protestors with fire hoses. History does not lie but Democrats like to distort the facts to benefit themselves.

Charles Measley is the Political Director for Garden State Liberty PAC in New Jersey and a well known Republican operative across the state. He had the following to say about Booker’s accusations:

Because of the welfare state President Johnson enacted, you have the dissolution of the African American family and because of the lack of this family structure, unfortunately a large number of young African American males fall into crime to fill the void of what their family would normally fulfill. You can look at the statistics of the arrests from one of two ways: the first is from the politically charged way Cory Booker is looking at it which is looking at it in reverse determining that a large number of African American’s arrested equals racism in the justice system. The second is the collapse of the African American family structure due to the effects of the welfare state put in by President Johnson which leads to them falling into crime.

I could not agree more.
