Newt Says He Supports Boehner’s Re-Election

Quote
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich says he supports John Boehner’s re-election on Tuesday to lead the House.

“I am deeply committed to the reelection of Speaker John Boehner,” Gingrich wrote on Twitter. “With his leadership there are more House GOP than any time since 1928.”

The official speaker’s election is set for Tuesday, when the House will convene for a public floor vote to open the new Congress.

At least 10 House Republicans have publicly come out against Boehner’s re-election.

While the vote is usually just a formality, the hope of the anti-Boehner bloc is for enough Republicans to deny Boehner a majority of the vote, forcing him out of the race. Under the rules, that would likely require about 30 Republicans voting for someone else.

Politics is too hard for "conservatives."  Welcome to RINOville again Speaker Gingrich.

That's funny.  Implying that Boehner's 'leadership' is responsible when it was Bambi's 'leadership' that did it...

WRONG! Not to hard at all but we refuse to play by establishment rules!

What is it they say about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result?

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Isn't trying to get 30 votes against Boehner  to, by House rules, knock him out of the leadership race the very definition of "play(ing) by establishment rules?"
