Middle Eastern ‘Asylum Seeker’ in Denmark Enters a Family Residence and Attempts to Rape an 8-Year-old Girl

According to TV2.dk, an 8 year old girl in Græstad, a small village in Northern Sjælland, on Thursday morning was victim of a horror experience. She was awakened by a stranger, an adult male in her bedroom.
The man held the girl, while he talked about sex. The girl managed however, to call for help before the man was able to conduct a rape.
The girl’s parents heard the 8-year-old daughter cry from her bedroom and came running. The girl’s mother took her out of the bedroom, while her father and a neighbor held down the asylum seeker until the police arrived.
The man, a 39-year old asylum seeker from Syria, who had recently been granted a residence permit in Denmark, was arrested and charged with attempted rape. He was a resident in the area.
The man had gone into the house of the family through an unlocked door.
The 8-year-old girl have been “deeply shocked” after the experience and the family have been offered help from a psychologist to process the traumatic experience.
