http://ulstermanbooks.com/1-holiday-discussion-topic-2014-false-racism-supporting-cops/Far and away the #1 topic people wanted to discuss in my personal holiday circles this year was the subject of false racism and subsequent cop bashing that has taken place this past year. This discussion cut across ideological lines and came out overwhelmingly in support of cops and against the race baiting politics of Barack Obama and his ilk. Some who for years indicated unwavering support for all things Obama were finally indicating they had had more than enough of how the current president and others like Al Sharpton seemed so determined to tear America apart.
To them I said more than once, “It’s about damn time.”
The primary motivation for these people’s political awakening were the recent deaths of two New York police officers by a troubled black man clearly influenced by the anti-cop rhetoric and subsequent environment created by the Obama administration, Al Sharpton, and others within the Mainstream Media.
Several who now claim to support the police and disagree with the racial divide being created in this country were then stunned to learn (after my telling them) that the two police officers were themselves minorities. They were then further shocked to learn that the majority of men and women serving in the NYPD were minority as well. Within the NYPD, white officers are by far the lesser number.
This then led to another teachable moment of explaining how the media will form a story by focusing on one aspect and ignoring the other. It shows crowds of people marching in protest against the “racist” New York police, but ignores the fact that it is a police department made up primarily of minority officers.
“WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT?”
That was the repeated question posed by shocked family, friends and associates stunned by the prospect of being purposely manipulated by politicians and the media. (Of course these same people had absolutely no problem believing politicians would attempt to mislead them when Republicans were in the White House the previous decade.)
“They” do this of course because it fits the agenda. It is an agenda spoken of by myself and others over and over again. An America weakened by divisions between color, gender, sexual orientation, and socio-economic placement is an America more easily pushed to the brink of collapse.
Have so many already forgotten the fact that the current occupant of the White House was a 20-year member of a radical Chicago church that screamed hatred of the American system over and over again? That the First Lady declared she had NEVER been proud of this country until the moment her husband won the Democratic nomination in 2008? That the primary contact between the White House and the subject of race relations is none other than Al Sharpton – a man with decades of volatile anti-Jewish, anti-gay, anti-white rhetoric that created the same kinds of poison conflict that led to death and injury? The same Al Sharpton who has been invited to the Obama White House over eighty times, and who says they look to HIM to provide counsel on who the next Attorney General of the United States should be? The same Al Sharpton who owes millions of dollars in unpaid taxes, seemingly protected by an administration who demands others “pay their fair share?”
2014 was a year of further division that has followed several other years of division in America. Barack Obama and his media cohorts point at various groups and tell them they should despise the other, that it is the fault of others that their own lives are less than what they desire them to be, and those others must therefore be punished.
Police officers are called racist despite the lack of any evidence to suggest that to be true.
Upper class Americans are said to not be paying their fair share even though the facts show they are paying the vast majority of taxes in the United States, and that in 2014, the government collected more taxes than at any other time in its history – but the Obama government says it wants MORE taxes, MORE regulations, MORE control, and thus LESS individual freedoms.
The media repeats over and over again a false “war on women” while refusing to report the fact that in the Obama White House is where the only credible evidence of such a war existing. Females earn far less than their male counterparts among Obama staff. This had been known, and reported upon, but the larger left-leaning media machines ignore it, thus ensuring most Americans remain ignorant of this fact, and the Obama White House’s blatant hypocrisy on the subject.
The U.S. military, an entity dedicated to preserving the safety of Americans at home and abroad, and made up of men and women from a multitude of backgrounds, of all colors and religions, indicated in a recent poll to have the lowest approval rating toward Barack Obama of any president in American history. Our men and women in uniform despise their current Commander in Chief, but continue to serve this country out of unwavering dedication, honor, and duty. Police officers and other first responders across the nation are doing the same.
If only our political leaders would follow their example.
