Three Queens men have been arrested for kidnapping a 14-year-old girl and forcing her into prostitution, officials said Monday.
Timothy Jenkins, 24, Tyshaun Haynes, 22, and Devin Rodriguez, 18, who all live in Far Rockaway, are accused of bringing the girl to Jenkins’ home on Sept. 6, the start of two days of hell for her.
Jenkins and Haynes allegedly raped the girl over the next two days, with Jenkins threatening to zap her with a stun gun — and to kill her — in an attempt to force her to join other girls whom Jenkins was prostituting.
Jenkins told her he would post prostitution ads for her on backpage.com and order her to turn over to him any money she made turning tricks, according to prosecutors.
“She discovered that few activities are as brutal and dehumanizing as prostitution,” Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said in a statement Monday.
Two days after being kidnapped, the victim managed to slip away and made it back to her home. Rodriguez quickly texted her telling her she would wind up “dead” for running away.
Three men in Far Rockaway, Queens, are accused of kidnapping a 14-year-old girl, raping her, forcing her into prostitution and sending her threats after she escaped.
Over the last two weeks of September, Rodriguez and Haynes both tried to force her to not tell authorities what she’d been through, threatening to harm her and people she knew, prosecutors said.
The three men were hit with a slew of charges, including kidnapping, sex trafficking, promoting prostitution and endangering the welfare of a child. Jenkins and Haynes were additionally charged with rape.
Haynes, who pleaded guilty to an unrelated robbery in 2011 and was sentenced to three and a half years in prison, was arraigned on the new charges Wednesday in Queens Supreme Court and ordered held without bail.
Jenkins and Rodriguez were arraigned Monday, with Jenkins ordered held on $750,000 bail and Rodriguez ordered held on $500,000 bail.
All three men face up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
