Let’s Hope So! Mitch McConnell Says Obamacare Is “On The Way To Collapse”

12.04.2014 | Jerome Hudson | 0

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) told Fox’s Greta Van Susteren tonight that Obamacare was “on the way to collapse” due to the disintegration of numerous provisions that make the law impossible to fund.

McConnell admits that he doesn’t think that the new GOP majority in both chambers would have the numbers (seven Democrats in the Senate needed) to push through a repeal, but he does believe that a new Supreme Court case could cause the collapse of Obamacare.

“There are pieces of it that are very, very unpopular. They eliminated the 40 hour workweek, the individual insurance mandate, the medical device tax, the health insurance tax,” McConnell said. “And, by the way, there is a case before the Supreme Court on the issue of whether or not states that did not set up exchanges are entitled to the subsidies under Obamacare.”

If it’s successful, McConnell says the lawsuit would allow Republicans to start over and reform the U.S. health system the right way.

“If they decide the law means what it said, if the plain language of the law is, in fact, the law, then I think Congress is entirely back in the whole debate about the whole thing, which would empower us, to use the golfer term, to have a mulligan–a do-over–on this whole issue,” McConnell said. “The Supreme Court could well decide that we get a second chance.”

Americans are hating Obamacare more and more.

According to a Real Clear Politics average of polls, more than 52 percent of American voters oppose Obamacare.

“And, by the way, there is a case before the Supreme Court on the issue of whether or not states that did not set up exchanges are entitled to the subsidies under Obamacare.”

The SCOTUS isn't going to rule against this.  They'll say that the 'State exchange' *is* the Federal Exchange for any State that didn't set up their own exchange.  Too much entitlement money involved.

The SCOTUS wants Obamacare to be settled in the Legislature, not the courts...

As much as I hate obamacare and how it was passed, I don't think that's such a bad idea.
