Jihadist quits Isis 'because he had to clean toilets'A jihadist who travelled from India to Iraq to fight for Isis has quit after he was forced to clean toilets.
Areeb Majeed became demoralised when he was made to provide water to those on the front line when he wanted to fight, according to the Times of India.
Majeed, 23, spoke to his supervisors to request a more murderous role, but Isis bosses ignored his request.
Despite only being a toilet cleaner and waterboy, Majeed – from Kaylan, India – was given AK47 training.
The final straw was when he was hit by a bullet and was left for three days before being taken for treatment.
He told investigators: ‘Only after I begged them, I was taken to hospital. I was treating myself, but the injury was worsening as there was no proper medication or food available in the camps.
‘There was neither a holy war nor any of the preachings in the holy book were followed. ISIS fighters raped many a woman there.’
A National Investigation Agency official told the paper that he ‘revealed the names of the local contacts, who radicalised him and his three other friends here, and helped them fly to Iraq.’
