MSNBC: Democrats Pulling Ads ‘Not a Good Sign’ for Landrieu, ‘Hard for Them to Win’

Posted By Washington Free Beacon Staff On November 10, 2014 @ 1:30 pm In Politics | No Comments

Washington Post political reporter Chris Cillizza told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell that the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee’s decision to cancel advertising for Sen. Mary Landrieu (D., La.) ahead of a December runoff election was “not a good sign,” for Democrats.

“This is going to be a hard race for her to win,” Cillizza said. “It’s not a good sign when they pull out all of their advertising.”

Cillizza said the DSCC learned from its on-and-off support for Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes in Kentucky, which caused the DSCC to go further into debt.

“Ultimately, I think there’s a concern, probably on the part of the national party and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, to go further into debt… for a race that not only doesn’t decide the majority but, given the results on November fourth and what the polling would suggest, is going to be very hard for them to win,” Cillizza said.
