Since true conservatives throw around the term "secure the border," I wonder where to find the specifications of the system, headcount, etc. to describe such a plan.
In my opinion, interior enforcement would do more. If employers took away the magnet, fewer would enter our country.
If our law enforcement and courts released foreign nationals very deep inside the sending country, to their law enforcement/judicial authorities, it would do more, than trying to man a 2000 mile border (which we already do).
If our courts declared being born inside the US to illegal parents is no longer citizenship, it would do more than trying to man a 2000 mile border, in my opinion.
If state and federal agencies actually enforced laws against benefits for illegals, it would do more than trying to staff a 2000 mile long border.
But mark my words, both parties don't really want much change, so will agree on statistics about border enforcement, instead of better actions and measurements.
I am NOT saying that improvements do not have to be made to the border. But without the interior enforcement, not much changes.
