Most ignorance is not deliberate. Why would somebody intentionally be wrong? I'm not saying it never happens, but I believe that most people on most parts of the political spectrum believe what they are saying.

You misunderstood my post.  I didn't say YOU were deliberately ignorant.  I said people on the LEFT were deliberately ignorant.

And you claim you are in the MIDDLE.

Let me clarify for you.....

The vast majority of people in the Dem party who voted for Barack Obama deliberately avoided a massive amount of material that was 'out there' and chose not to know that he hated America and wished us harm.

I talked with a young woman in 2008 who said these exact words to me.... "Don't say anything bad about Obama!"  She didn't want to know how bad he was because she wanted to vote for him.  That is deliberate ignorance, and it is dangerous.

I guarantee you that there were very, very few Americans in 2008 who knew Obama was a socialist/communist and voted for him for that reason (you can check out the stats for how many Americans identify as socialists...it's not 52%).  The majority of Americans who voted for the hard left in 2008 and 2012, were deliberately clueless as to what that meant.

They've started finding out, but time will tell whether or not their awakening is too little too late...

As for the chocolate preference...........I can't even argue with that level of naivte.  I'll let someone else deal with that argument.    **nononono*

No, it was in fact you that misunderstood my post. I did not take what you said to mean that I am deliberately ignorant, and nothing in my post implied that I took it that way as far as I can tell. I was saying that most people would not go through life intentionally being wrong about something so important to them. Most people that are vocal about politics deeply believe in what they are saying.

There is so much information and misinformation out there these days that a lot of people just tune stuff out because it is hard to discern what is even real anymore, and I think that is exactly how the powers that be want it.

OK.  I'll give you point number one about yourself.

Two - there is all kinds of information out there.  FACTS.  If a group of people (Dems and "Independents") CHOOSE to ignore the FACTS that are out there (i.e Obama's ideology, upbringing, friends and associates), then they are not sincerely believing anything.

They are deliberately remaining ignorant, and they are dangerous.

As for "deeply believing" leftist politics, I'll agree that a whole slew of millennials "deeply believe" that leftist politics are good for people and help the poor, but that is only because they are deeply ignorant of the FACTS.  The people who run the Dem party, however, are not ignorant.  They know full well that socialism is harmful to blacks, women and children, but they know a cash cow when they see how deeply stupid many Americans are....... especially young ones.

Conservative policies help people.  Socialist policies hurt them, and the socialists who area foisting them on America are bad people.

People who don't know that are willfully ignorant, and therefore dangerous.

btw, the insipid comparison of political preferences with chocolate preferences is too inane to argue with.

Dex, you knew that, of course, but your evasion of the inanity/naivete of your politics/chocolate comparison is duly noted......
