Are you suggesting that there should not be senate, or even joint select committee, investigations of the IRS, Fast and Furious, Benghazi... in the near future?

I was talking about Palin.  But since you asked, I would keep the investigations to the minimum.  Nobody's going to jail; Obama has been slapped upside the head and isn't going to be impeached.  He's going to try some crap that the Republicans can legitimately address especially with the power of the purse.  I think a majority of Americans see that the Obama Administration mishandled Benghazi as well as Fast and Furious.  Most Americans already dislike the IRS.  I don't have a problem with investigations, but I think Americans will quickly sour on the new majority if they don't show some actual legislative achievements, concentrating instead on what can easily be seen as political score settling.

But of course, JMHO.

Exactly. When they impeached Clinton, it backfired. And it will again, too.

Do not listen to self-serving entertainers, for a change.
Again, this is the same mentality that led to the shutdown failure. “Don't bother holding people accountable. Don't bother using the actual mechanisms for handling despots. It'll backfire politically.”

Did the shutdown backfire politically?

Do you call one of the biggest Republican gains in the Senate backfiring?

This is the kind of mentality that, quite frankly, ENABLES despots like Obama and his cohorts to act unchecked. There have to be consequences.

Good thing I was sitting down, lol.

I agree with you a LOT, MAC.

How would I know, it read that way. If it wasn't, the poster should be a little more clear, don't you think?

This is what the left has been saying about Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld.  They wanted Bush impeached many times over, and to this day, want all three arrested for war crimes.  How popular do you think that crap was...and is?  The Democrats held both houses for four straight years but were at least smart enough not to fall for it.  Will the Republicans have the same sense of political reality?

Impeachment:  the best way to ensure that the democrats get Congress back and keep the White House in 2016.

Amen.  Please, Please, Please, Congress don't take the bait.  Demorats know this would be the easiest way for them to win in 2016.
Owebama can be stopped by closing the purse strings to his programs.

Agree. Being right is not nearly as important as fixing the mess Obama created. Doing that will require stopping a Democrat from getting the White House in 2017.
