Ebola fears loom over Sunday shows
By Tim Devaney

Growing concerns over the spread of Ebola and the imminent threat posed by ISIS will be the focus of the Sunday morning political talk shows.

Hoping to reassure the public about efforts to contain the deadly virus in the U.S., Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, will again make the rounds Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, Rick Sacra, the American doctor who has been cured of Ebola, will also hit the airwaves. Sacra contracted the deadly virus while working in Liberia before being flown back to the U.S. for treatment.
In a recent interview with MSNBC, Sacra says, "I would go back to Liberia. You know, it's my second home. I've lived there for 15 years of my life."

The remark comes as health officials this week confirmed Ebola has spread to New York City. Craig Spencer, a doctor who contracted the outbreak while working in Guinea, returned home a week ago, but wasn't quarantined until Thursday when he started showing symptoms.

Spencer is the fourth person in the U.S. to contract Ebola, of which only one person has died, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

But around the world nearly 10,000 people have been diagnosed with Ebola, more than half of which have died.

Here's what is coming on Sunday:

"Fox Sunday News": Dr. Fauci will talk about the most recent developments, including the status of Ebola in New York City, after Dr. Spencer fell ill upon returning home from treating patients in Guinea. Spencer roamed around the city for nearly a week, but public health officials say he was not contagious before he began to show symptoms on Thursday. Three people who have been in contact with him since then are also being quarantined. Fauci will also discuss the case of Dallas nurse Nina Pham who received a hug from President Obama this week after being cured of Ebola. Separately, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will talk about the upcoming congressional midterms and whether he intends to run for president in 2016.

CNN's "State of the Union": House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) will talk about the Ebola crisis. A constant critic of the Obama administration, Issa's most recent assaults have come over how the president has handled the Ebola crisis. Then, the conversation will turn to an emerging terror threat and whether it is being posed by ISIS as Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) joins the discussion. This comes after a suspected terrorist attacked police officers in New York City with a hatchet, while another opened fire in the Canadian Parliament.

ABC's "This Week": Dr. Fauci will also appear on this show, speaking about the spread of Ebola to New York City. Meanwhile, House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul and Matthew Olsen, former National Counterterrorism Center Director, will discuss this week's terror attacks in New York City and Canada, and the emerging threat of homegrown extremists.

CBS' "Face the Nation": Dr. Fauci will make his third appearance of the day on this show to talk about how New York City health officials are handling the Ebola crisis. While House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers and Sen. Joe Manchin of the Armed Services Committee will discuss the emerging terror threat. They'll talk about what can be done to prevent home-grown attacks and the current status of the war against ISIS in the Middle East.

NBC's "Meet the Press": Dr. Sacra will join the show to talk about the Ebola crisis in West Africa. Sacra was recently cured of Ebola, after contracting it while working in Liberia.

It will be interesting to see how the Obola sycophants defend him against Ebola.
