Even while in the process of revealing these facts, the Globe and Mail does its best to divert attention away from them by quoting a friend asserting that Zehaf-Bibeau must be mentally ill, and marshaling evidence to support that claim. This is what we see after every jihad attack and uncovered jihad plot: a rush to find some other motive, and to exonerate Islam from all responsibility. Are authorities going into the mosque Zehaf-Bibeau attended and investigating what is taught there? Or are they too busy reassuring mosque leaders that they will protect them against an “Islamophobic backlash”?
