Not So ‘Highly Unlikely” Ebola Can Become Ariborne
by Sara Noble • October 15, 2014
Ebola is primed to go airborne, if it hasn’t already. That will be our worst nightmare and it’s happening while we are in the hands of a president who won’t close our borders and who won’t limit travel from West Africa. As always, he’s a day late and a dollar short.
A second nurse who cared for Thomas Duncan has Ebola. Yesterday, she was on a plane with 131 other people who have had untold numbers of contacts since then. Today she is being transferred to Atlanta to be treated there.
She, too, doesn’t know how she contracted the disease.
We will hear the CDC claim she violated protocol but the Co-President of the National Nurses United, Deborah Burger, said yesterday “There were no protocols. The guidelines were constantly changing about how to deal with the deadly virus.”
In addition to lying to us repeatedly about how it’s spread, apparently to keep us calm, the CDC didn’t even have protocols in place at the same time they were claiming the CDC – and all the hospitals in the U.S. – were fully prepared and had protocols in place.
There is a far more serious threat which is being too casually dismissed -what if it’s airborne?
Some experts believe it needs to be treated as if it were airborne because we simply don’t know all the ways it might be transmitted. We know now that the virus can live on surfaces for six days and be spread from a sneeze or perspiration, something we didn’t learn from our government. We don’t know for sure because they haven’t conducted tests but the likelihood is that it does.
We have also learned that water won’t kill Ebola – you need chlorine or bleach. The advice we got from some health commissioners was to wash our hands. Obviously that is not going to work.
The protocols we don’t have need to include respirators:
“We believe there is scientific and epidemiologic evidence that Ebola virus has the potential to be transmitted via infectious aerosol particles both near and at a distance from infected patients, which means that healthcare workers should be wearing respirators, not facemasks,” write Lisa M Brosseau, ScD, and Rachael Jones, PhD, national experts on respiratory protection and infectious disease transmission, in a Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy commentary. “The minimum level of protection in high-risk settings should be a respirator with an assigned protection factor greater than 10. A powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) with a hood or helmet offers many advantages over an N95 filtering facepiece or similar respirator, being more protective, comfortable, and cost-effective in the long run.”
Breitbart reported that the highly respected Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) at the University of Minnesota just advised the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) that “there is scientific and epidemiologic evidence that Ebola virus has the potential to be transmitted via infectious aerosol particles,” including exhaled breath.
Anthony Banbury, chief of the U.N.’s Ebola mission, said there is a very real possibility it could go airborne.
Dr. David Sanders, a Purdue University professor, warned that because the lungs have already been shown to receive Ebola, it is only a matter of time before the virus mutates to become transmissible through the air.
“It can enter the lung from the airway side,” Dr. Sanders said, contradicting the official story by the so-far-incredibly-wrong Dr. Tom Frieden of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Dr. Sanders said Ebola mutates every time it is transferred to the next human host, which also contradicts what we have been told. Eventually, he says, it will evolve and become more virulent, possibly becoming airborne.
Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institutes of health (NH) has said that it is “highly unlikely” it will become airborne but it was also “highly unlikely” it would come to the United States according to Dr. Frieden and President Obama.
We have learned one thing from this and that is hospitals in this country aren’t set up to contain any viral contagion. There are only four hospitals in the country with biocontainment units, yet Dr. Frieden said we are well-prepared.
The government lying policies are going to get Americans killed.
