Speech barely affects Obama's ratings

 By Kelly Cohen  | September 15, 2014 | 7:41 am

A high-profile speech outlining President Obama's plan for fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria had little effect on public support on the issue.

After his speech, 68 percent of voters said military action against the Islamic State was in the national interest — up only three percent from prior to the speech, according to a Wall Street Journal/NBC News Poll.

Sixty-two percent of the group surveyed had watched or heard about the speech in the news, while 37 percent had not.

Of those familiar with the speech, 26 percent said they favored Obama more after, while 20 percent said gave them a less-favorable view. More than half — 53 percent — said the speech did not change their opinion of Obama.

I think the post-speech confusion not only within the Administration, but in his so-called coalition will send his approval rating even further south.
It's the Supreme Court nominations!

They were sooo hoping for a bump in his poll numbers...no matter how hard they try now they can't make Obama look presidential.
