In late August ISIS terrorists captured hundreds of Syrian soldiers, stripped them down to their underwear, trucked them out into the desert, marched them to a ditch and slaughtered them.

They're using psychological warfare with these videos.  They inspire terror, they're intimidating to anyone thinking of defying them.  This is half the battle.  They are a force that must be stopped NOW.
