Quote
Scientists have unearthed the skeleton of a previously unknown, massive dinosaur species that may be the largest land animal ever found.

The specimen named Dreadnoughtus schrani is exceptionally complete, with about 70 percent of its bones recovered. Scientists believe the creature, which lived about 77 million years ago, measured 85 feet (26 meters) long and weighed about 65 tons, heavier than a Boeing 737.

Its name means "Fearing nothing" which seems pretty appropriate. I can't imagine a full grown one would have had many predators.

I would. Most of the huge sauropods come from South America. And a carnivore bigger than T-Rex has already been found down there. Bet they find another, bigger one, within the next decade.

The previously largest known sauropod was believed to have no natural predators once it was full grown. It didn't have a lot of defense outside its behemoth size.

Argentina seems to be full of nothing but dinosaurs - witness its current president and her neolithic socialist populism.
