Flights of Central American migrants into San Diego by U.S. Customs and Border Protection have been suspended for the rest of the week, Murrieta police said Wednesday.Since last week there have been three flights into the San Diego area, and with flights planned every three days, a fourth would have come Thursday. Migrants on the first flight were transported to Murrieta for processing by the Border Patrol, but their buses were turned back to San Diego in the face of protests by anti-immigration activists.Additional flights have gone to Yuma, with migrants being bused to El Centro for processing.Gabe Pacheco, a Border Patrol agent in San Diego and a union spokesman, said agents are now going to rely on existing technology that allows agents to process migrants in Texas using video equipment.
