The Latter Day Saints has an organization called the Relief Society. They feed homeless people and provide other sorts of counseling. This program was started by Brigham Young and Eliza R. Snow both provided a historical account of the society and described its purpose to seek "not only for the relief of the poor, but the accomplishment of every good and noble work."
