Boys Allowed to Use Girls’ Bathroom, Locker Rooms and Showers in Tucson School District

Should the rights of a very few supersede the rights of the vast majority?
America was established as a republic, meaning that the majority of the people rule. If the majority of the population votes to pass a law, then that issue becomes the law. But thanks to the silence of the majority and the whining and crying of a few minorities along with the help of a very liberal judicial system, American is now the land where the will of a few supersede the rights of the many.
Title IX is part of the 1972 Education Amendment to the Civil Rights Act of 1964. LGBT activists have been using Title IX to push their agenda of taking away the rights of the majority. The part of Title IX they are using states:
“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.”
With a piece of federal legislation in their hands, LGBT activists are now pushing to allow transgender individuals to use the bathrooms, locker rooms and showers of the sex they claim to be inside. In other words, if a boy declares that he is a female inside, he should have the right to use the girls’ bathrooms, locker rooms and showers even though he is anatomically male. The same holds true for girls being able to use the boys’ facilities.
Slinging Title IX around like a mighty weapon, LGBT activists have slayed another foe by forcing the Tucson Unified School District to allow transgender students to use the facilities of the opposite sex on the advice of their attorneys.
Jonathan Scruggs, an attorney with Alliance Defending Freedom, disagrees with the attorneys for the Tucson school district. He points out that in 2009, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals issued a ruling stating that public schools do have the right to restrict the use of bathrooms to members of the same sex only. The court’s ruling was based upon maintaining safety to the majority of students using the bathrooms. They said that the restriction of bathroom use did not violate Title IX.
Scruggs commented:
"No court has held that schools or other institutions must allow students to access opposite-sex restrooms or changing areas."
A number of Tucson parents have gone before the school board to protest their bathroom rule, claiming that it violates the privacy of their own kids. The parent of a 16 year old boy said that a girl walked in the boys’ bathroom while her son was using the urinal and this should not be allowed.
Scruggs points out that Tucson’s bathroom policy includes kids as young as kindergarten to high school. He said that the idea of a kindergarten kid being exposed to the opposite sex of any age is just not appropriate.
Nationally, a growing number of people are supporting laws to prevent the discrimination of transgender people until the issue of bathroom use comes into consideration. A recent Rasmussen Reports poll showed that when people were asked about transgender men using women’s bathrooms, their support for anti-discrimination laws drastically dropped.
As we see more of these perverted laws enacted, you need to realize that America has become the land of the screaming minorities whose rights will trump and supersede the rights of the majority. We’re already seeing this with homosexuality and same-sex marriages. As the majority of Americans sit on their butts and remain silent, these extreme minorities will continue to strip away our rights and force us to embrace their perversions and sinful lifestyles. If you don’t like what’s happening, then get active do something to help stop it. If not, then stop complaining and accept it!
