Dems try to debunk Nate Silver

--- Quote from: pjohns on March 24, 2014, 06:57:35 pm ---Interestingly enough, the Democrats liked Nate Silver very much when he predicted that Barack Obama would defeat Mitt Romney in 2012.  Nowadays, well, not so much.

As for the Koch brothers, many Democrats demonize them, as if there were some neutral principle at stake here: Why, it just seems, well, morally unhygienic to allow large sums of private cash to corrupt public campaigns.

Oddly enough, however, these same Democrats seldom (if ever) complain when, say, the billionaire, Tim Steyer, pledges $50 million of his own money to Democratic candidates who toe the environmentalist line.

Or when George Soros spends lavishly upon Democratic candidates, either...

Not only that, but Steyer clearly bought influence from Reid because Reid promptly turned the Senate floor into a bully pulpit for Steyer's message - the one he said he was going to be funding with $50m direct and $50m in contributions.  Apparently it's just hunky-dory when democrats/liberals/progressives blatantly buy influence in Congress.

--- Quote ---“It’s clear that Republican Senate candidates, even candidates favored by Washington insiders, are pandering to the far right and embracing the reckless and irresponsible agenda of the Koch Brothers that will prove costly in a general election. Democrats have strong incumbents, great recruits in Michigan, Iowa, West Virginia and Montana, and are playing offense in Kentucky, Georgia, and Mississippi,” Cecil writes.

:silly:  Now that's what I call desperation! Natalie Tennant is dumb as a post. So far, it looks like the Republican Capito will clean her clock.

Formerly Once-Ler:

--- Quote ---But Cecil declares in the memo that the election-year conversation has been “one-sided” because of the millions spent by GOP outside groups, and that Democrats are ready to respond.

The rats wish they could attack the GOP on our opposition to Obamacare.  This wasn't how it was supposed to go.  It was supposed to be rats give freebie, GOP opposes,  rats run ad about GOP opposing freebie.  This time nobody wants the rat "freebie"
