Upset the car and caused the driver to lose control... but only because of a high rate of speed.
At normal speed, they would not cause a problem.
I read the car was very difficult to drive. It is basically a race car equipped to be street legal.
But the driver was a skilled race drive, so I'd attribute the accident and deaths to bad judgment, about what they should have been doing, on that type of street.
The area looks like a light industrial park, with tree lined streets; no place to be going 90 mph ever.
