Oxfam has started a cash for work programme in the Philippines, in a bid to speed up the country's recovery from Typhoon Haiyan.
It is offering payment to anyone willing to help clear rice fields for planting.
Oxfam spokesman Ian Bray told the BBC that preparing the fields is crucial in order to ensure farmers have a successful harvest.

It's easy to forget sometimes just how easy we have it. Multiple sources of food, good transport links both nationally and internationally. It isn't our grandparents time, when not getting the crops planted in time meant not being able to eat the following year.
