George Will: Obama has turned the White House press room into the third chamber of Congress [VIDEO]

Posted By Jeff Poor On 4:39 PM 11/17/2013

Washington Post columnist George Will declared President Barack Obama has in some ways made the White House briefing room its own part of the legislative branch.

As Will explained on this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” Obama has shown a willingness to bypass the legislative process and alter laws when needed which makes the press room its own part of Congress.

“Well, I think Republicans have offered serious alternatives all along,” Will said. “But right now — no, I mean, the president, his name is on it. He did it without any other votes, so live with it. One Republican put it brazenly, Scalise of Louisiana — congressman. He said the president is like a man who burns your house down and then shows up with an empty water bucket, and then delivers a lecture on how bad your house was before he burned it down. That’s an untenable position for the president to be in.”

“It was nine months ago, an official of the Centers on Medicaid and Medicare Services told a conference, what we want to avoid [is] a third-world experience. And we’ve had the third world experience. And what Judy rather delicately calls the president’s accommodation looks to a great many of us to be illegal. What we’re told in grade school when we study civics is that in that building behind you are the two legislative chambers of the federal government, Senate and the House. It turns out there is a third, it’s called the White House press room, into which the president can, on a whim, sashay and rewrite laws. It’s an extraordinary civics lesson.”

Just who does this Mr. Will think he is?  The President?  President Obama is a liberal, a democrat party member, so of course he can rewrite any law he wants to, to suit his personal political desires at the moment; he can also repeal any law he wants to with impunity by refusing to follow or enforce it.  A liberal can do no wrong; the Constitution is for republicans and putzes, it was designed to further the liberal political agenda and must be applied in that light.

George better be careful questioning the tyrant's power. After he shuts down congress because it's becoming too inconvenient the community organizer may have to take a hard look at the media....at least those who question him

George Will is a proverbial altar boy in his private life.  IRS doesn't scare him and neither does anybody else.

It should be pointed out that George Will castigated....a maybe too kind of a word here..., presidential candidate John McCain for questioning Barack Obama's associations and place of worship at the beginning of the 2008 'campaign'.....another too kind of a word here.

It is important to remember who helped bring this plague called Obama, upon us.

George Will is slightly better than Peggy Noonan. Both were swooning for Obama in 2008, when those of us on these forums were horrified at Obama's past and lack of accomplishment.

Thanks....we need to keep the revisionist history out of the forum....there are a few people that never hesitate to gush over George Will.
