Earlier this week we learned Delaware has spent $4 million to enroll four people in Obamacare. That was nothing. New numbers from four different healthcare providers show Washington D.C. has spent $133,573,928 to enroll a grand total of five people in Obamacare. That's $26,714,785.60 per Obamacare enrollee. CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield: two enrollees from Oct. 1, 2013, through Oct. 30, 2013. Kaiser Permanente: three enrollees from Oct. 1, 2013, through Oct. 31, 2013. UnitedHealthcare: no enrollment data from the exchange as of Nov. 4, 2013. Aetna: no enrollment data as of Oct. 24, 2013.American's for Tax Reform breaks down taxpayer money given to D.C. for Obamacare exchanges in this chart using data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid services: http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2013/00/08/washington-dc-spends-133573928-to-enroll-five-people-in-obamacare-n1743410?utm_source=thdaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl
Look - I don't mind teasing you guys. That is fair enough. Bit of fun and sibling rivalry, with the expectation of being teased back.BUT ARE YOU ALL RETARDED!!!
But if you like your mental health coverage, you can keep your mental health coverage. But seriously, you Brits don't have a lot of room to talk. How is that NHS working out for you? Been to the dentist lately?
Oddly - yesterday. Zero cavities, zero fillings - still totally sound teeth - except the three replacements (long story, let us just say they were removed by an unfriendly person) that were color matched to my existing ones so well that you wouldn't be able to pick them out, despite all of them being visible when I smile. Cost of check up, X-ray and hygienist - $50. Our dentists tend to be private and like cash up front.
